Winona, MN

We are in Winona, Minnesota; try saying that ten times fast!
Last night's dinner turned out great,  and the riders enjoyed it.
In fact, many hands make light work, and I had many hands to help. The women were especially helpful in cutting veggies and cooking rice,  and some of the men did the dishes! I am enjoying getting to know them all.  We have several retired teachers in the group, and some with foster experience, which you know is a passion of ours!
Today was the earliest start we've had with breakfast served by 6am and bags packed on the "truck" (trailer) by 630am. We slept in the church with the group, so the boys could sleep in, which if you know our kids, that doesn't happen! Tracy, they each slept on a "blob" in the youth room- lol, and Todd and I slept on couches.
After breakfast Elliot went for a mile run around a track while Tenrick and Greyson played at a giant playground, and Todd sketched. We served lunch from the road around 10am, and headed to a church in Winona.
As a surprise to us,  Ken and Nancy booked us a hotel room, unhitched the trailer and told us to enjoy our day off tomorrow (this was scheduled for us and the riders). Before checking into our hotel this afternoon we visited the African Safari Museum at Winona National Bank.

It was quite impressive to see many taxidermy animals. The stained glass windows,  marbled floors, and the safe were quite impressive too. Our niece would have found this place interesting I think.

Tonight, we had another delicious church potluck, including ice cream sundaes, and tomorrow night one of our riders is cooking chicken and biscuits. I can't wait for that meal! Yum!
